Waking up in my favourite place in Cambridge cuddling Geoff.
Kippers and toast for breakfast.![]()
Then off for a 21 mile walk in glorious sunshine.
Tea and cake at The Orchard in Grantchester.
Then a quick swim in the fast flowing River Cam,at the NRC.
Where the water temp was 8°C, believe me there is nothing more refreshing.
Home to make a nice dinner .
Then out to meet Tony for a couple of Gin and Tonic’s.
What more could a girl ask for…..
Is what I would say to Ben Wilson who is a Scottish West Coast Grower of mussels.
He describes his mussels as being renowned for “their plump Juicy meats”![]()
Well the bag of mussels I had purchased from my own fish counter at Tesco in Downham Market was far from being plump, in fact they were tiny.
I would have been embarrassed to serve them if I had cooked them for a dinner party.
I was so disappointed with them that I will be complaining to Tesco and hope to get a full refund.
Update… I got a full refund from Tesco today :-)Â shame that I will not be happy to buy them again 🙁
To serve herbal tea is in a Bodum Tea press.![]()

Can’t drink alcohol in the office? Here’s the non-alcoholic infused version of one of the best known cocktails around. Warning: might cause strong desires to dance the conga with your boss or supervisor…

I often enjoy a cup of herbal tea, and I usually just buy the herbal tea bags.![]()
Caroline told me about a shop in Cambridge called First Class Teas and recommended that I try one of their herbal teas.
So before I came home Geoff and I went to have a look.
I could not resist trying their Piña Colada tea, not only did it look delicious but smelt fantastic too.
I was not disappointed it tastes divine far better than any other herbal tea I have ever had.
I think I will be paying them another visit soon :-)
