I remember when my wee brother passed his test, we couldn't get him insurance anywhere. In the end though he got a van from his work so it all worked out well for him. Direct Line/ Admiral etc do a 10 month bonus accelerator. It's a wee bit cheaper and there is the option to increase your excess as well that helps a wee bit. Good luck with that!
