It is always a very sobering thing when you drive past a horrific accident. I am always very cautious for hours afterwards. But then I forget and I know I do drive more speedily than I perhaps should.
I think it was Jeremy Clarkson who said that drivers would be more careful if there were a big dagger sticking out of the steering wheel reminding them of danger every second they were driving. I often try to pretend the dagger is there.
But people do escape from the most amazing things, don’t they?
