Winter Walking

This weekend was Cambridge Rambling clubs first walk of the year, in freezing cold and snowy conditions.

The cold weather did not put people off though and 13 hikers turned up for the walk.

2 of these hikers were late but luckily with a little bit of help, they managed to catch us up 🙂

For some unknown reason I did not take any of my winter walking kit to Cambridge with me, so I really felt the cold 🙁

But that did not stop me from enjoying a beautiful 15 mile walk.

I do love it when its cold snowy and sunny 🙂

After this walk I could of done with Geoff’s sauna to warm me up !

Winter Walking

Needless to say, my nice warm gloves and thermal top are now packed in my bag 🙂

A Stroll in the woods

Yesterday I took myself off to Brandon Country Park

Where I met up with my friend T and Millie the dog 🙂

We went for a nice 11 mile walk , the time just flew by as we chatted for the whole 11 miles

Looks like we met up just in time, as the snow is coming 🙁

Finishing Touches

I have just finished painting my Kitchen/Dinning room and have fallen madly in love with the colour.

Lemon Tropics !

I now want to paint my whole house in Lemon Tropics including my newly painted bathroom.

All I need to finish the kitchen off is a nice Red roller blind

Which will match the red rug, toaster and kettle 🙂

Its now a very Happy cheerful room !

Gadget failure

Even though I have treated my Iphone with love

Kissing, stroking and cuddling it every day 🙂

its repaid me by breaking 🙁

which has left me heartbroken !

I had a taste of luxury for a few months now its back to the Android, when I can get my hands on it !

To make matters even worse my tracker pad on my macbook has stopped working too 🙁

I think a trip to the apple store is needed at the weekend

A Norfolk Walk

The main reason for me staying home this weekend was to walk with the Leg Stretchers

The walk started from Narborough Fishing Lakes a 15 min drive from where I live

For some unknown reason when I got out of bed I really did’nt feel like going 🙁

Luckily I changed my mind before it was too late.

By 8.45 I was at Narborough fishing lakes along with 22 other walkers.

Most of them I knew and all were delighted to see me 🙂

We had a great 17 mile walk taking us along the Nar valley way and the Peddars way

It was great to catch up with people BUT I missed Cambridge and will not be staying home again !

Leg Stretcher

If at first you don’t succeed

The on going saga of the socks that I am knitting.

My friend Yvette had started off my first sock for me and I thought it looked so easy to do BUT I was wrong

Finally after a few false starts and huge headaches, I worked out how to start the next sock.

Its so easy once you know how 🙂

I am actually finding knitting very Therapeutic and already have an idea for another fun project , just waiting for the book to arrive 🙂

A strange Combination

After I twittered last week about not being able to find any sloes.

I had a few offers, including one from Bere marsh farm ,but Dorset was just a little too far away 🙁

Then a friend picked me a kilo and delivered them to my house last night 🙂

So this evening I have made my sloe gin and baked some flapjack too.

The sloe gin wont be ready for a year , I doubt the flapjack will last that long.

BTW my sloe gin recipe is..

1lb of sloes
1lb of sugar
and a 75cl bottle of gin
