Quality Time

Before Geoff goes off on his trip to New Zealand I get to spend some quality time with him 🙂

Tomorrow we catch the train to St Ives,in Cornwall, where we shall spend some time walking and have a night out at the beautiful Minack Theatre.

Then its back to work for 3 days before we head off to Leominster for a weekend of walking with the Cambridge Rambling Club

We leave the best to last as we then head off to the mountains and Geoff’s apartment in  Les Gets, where we shall rest, walk and catch up with friends Kay and Anthony

Then its home and back to a full week of massage clients 🙂

Me time !

After listening to a few of my friends I decided that I should be looking after myself a little better.

Its ok doing all this work but I should have a treat now and then instead of putting all the money away for bills that I worry about ALL the time.

Something I have wanted to do for along time now is go to a Pilates class , I have found a class that looks suitable for me and I should be starting soon 🙂

I also booked myself in for some Acupuncture and Shiatsu massage with Karen Merritt  I really enjoyed the treatment, felt totally relaxed afterwards and my aching legs and bum are feeling much much better.

Karen treated me previously, with acupuncture, for the night sweats I was getting and amazingly it stopped them 🙂

Tomorrow I am having another Acupuncture  treatment with Charlotte from the Crystal Cave it will be interesting to see how my legs feel after this treatment.

I certainly hope to be back to my running next week and will continue to treat myself to a treatment every month.

My Hot stone massage seems to be what everyone wants so its great to trade skills 🙂

The Sanctuary Spa in Cambridge.

On Saturday I finally had an appointment for my massage at the Sanctuary in Cambridge.

This was a valentines treat for me from Geoff and could not have come at a better time, I have been trying to fit too many things into my days and had been suffering from an annoying dull  headache all week 🙁

I arrived a good 30 mins early so I could relax in the Lavender room with a cup of herbal tea before my massage 🙂

I choose to have a deep tissue massage.

The massage itself was, for many reasons very interesting for me.

Firstly she massaged me using her forearms and fists which takes the strain off her hands/thumbs and  you get a deeper massage.

Secondly I was amazed at how bad my back and shoulders are, they are just full of huge knotts and of course these knotts could be the cause of my headaches. 🙁

Thirdly it confirmed to me that the next course I want to do is The Deep Tissue Massage.

A great gift from Geoff and although it was not very relaxing it was very enjoyable and taught me that I should practise what I preach !

( and NO I did not let on that I was a massage therapist )

The Crystal Cave

This afternoon I did some massage work for the Crystal Cave in Hunstanton.

I was a little nervous but it was Fabulous and I loved it 🙂

This could be the start of something good for me !
