Signing on….

Tomorrow my son has an appointment at the job center…..

When we returned from our holiday he went to work to discover they had decided to let him go, so was sent home with a weeks wages.

Naturally I was very upset as I know its going to be very hard for him to find another job.

Once again I thought please can this family just have a few months where nothing goes wrong….

Typically, being young and naive he said don’t worry I will soon find another job.

Three weeks later no job and now no money,I think he’s beginning to realize its not going to be that easy.

He was doing so well with his driving, passing his theory first time, but now its all come to a stand still.

One thing that has not suffered is his fitness as he now has more time to spend down the gym :-)

As for me well I sit and hope, trying not to stress out about the whole thing.

Keep smiling… that’s my motto !!

Home Sweet Home

Arrived back in Norfolk yesterday evening…. back to work today !

I had one amazing holiday and I can see why the GR20 is known as the toughest trek in Europe.

At times it was very very scary, more like climbing than walking, but I did it with no aches, pains or blisters. Me who hardly gets to see a hill let alone a mountain has walked the whole of the GR20 in 14 days.

Some photos up on my blog.….others will be added to my flickr.…. sorry all the real rude ones are for our eyes only :-)

Question now is……. what next ??????

Your age…..by eating out……

Don’t tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway-but your waiter may know!

This is pretty neat

DON’T CHEAT… BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read …Be sure you don’t read the bottom until you’ve worked it out!

This is not one of those waste of time things, it’s fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat.
(more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757… If you haven’t, add 1756.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number
The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)

The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE ! —— (Oh YES, it is!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2007) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS *****

The Perfect Mothers day Gift..

Yet another gadget that claims to give you the perfect boiled egg.

Instead of using time to work out whether an egg is cooked to your liking, this device measures heat.

Made of clear non-toxic red plastic and shaped like an egg, it is marked with measurements for hard-boiled, medium and soft.

It is placed in the water along with the eggs, where it sits on the bottom of the pan.

As the water heats up the red shade starts to turn black, beginning around the edges and gradually moving towards the centre.

When the proportion of red and black indicates the eggs are at the level of hardness required, you simply remove them from the water and tuck in

The Egg-Perfect Colour Changing Egg Timer costs £4.97 and is being sold in high street shops as well as online. A spokesman for the makers said: “Over or undercooked eggs are a thing of the past with this heat-sensitive egg timer.

I am a bit of a sucker for gadgets, especially ones for the kitchen.

I can never get my boiled eggs just right so yes I would buy this gadget But what about you ??  or do you think its just another useless gadget and a waste of money ??
