Testing your knowledge….

I took this photo today with my new Nokia N 95 then posted it straight up to flickr from the phone.

Very cool and so easy to do.

The photo is part of my fish counter after I had set it up this morning.

For a bit of fun I wonder how many of you can name all or some of the fish that are in the photo.

Ten reasons to have a Massage.

I’m a firm believer that  a regular massage can have a very positive effect on your health.

1) Massage relieves stress, anxiety and muscular tension and pain.

2) Massage improves the circulation of blood, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the different organs, systems and tissues

3) Massage stimulates the circulation of the lymphatic system- thus helping to untitled2release toxins (remember to drink plenty of water after a massage!)

4) Massage can help lower blood pressure

5) Massage enhances flexibility, mobility and joint range of motion

6) Massage reduces scars and adhesions

7) Massage boosts the immune system

8) Massage reduces fatigue (emotional and physical)

9) Massage can relieve depression

10) Massage helps with pain management in cases such as arthritis and sciatica

You only have one body so look after it :-)

A Special Gift.

I have lived in Norfolk for around 10 years now.

Seven years at Marham and just over Three years in this house.

Most of my readers will know that I have found it hard living here and have often feradio 022lt unhappy and cut off from my friends.

Recently I made a new friend called Helen who only lives in the next village to me.

This week she came to see me with a beautiful Gift.

A flower arrangement and what makes it even nicer is knowing that she arranged it herself just for me.

So much thought, love and care was put into this gift making it that much more special.

Knowing I have made a friend here makes living here that bit nicer.

How did I meet Helen, I hear you ask, well believe it or not I met her through TWITTER.

A little bit of luxury….

As most of my readers will know Geoff and I like to swim at the Jesus Green out door pool during the summer months and also enjoy a swim in the River Cam too.

When it gets to this time of year we start to miss the swimming.image

So this year Geoff decided to Join Greens health and fitness club which has a really lovely pool with  a sauna ,steam room and  hot tubs.

Tonight we went for our first visit, I got in using one of Geoff’s many free guest day passes, with out a guest pass its £10 for a day visit :-(

It was heaven and so relaxing, I can see I will want to go every day I am in Cambridge.

My own gym at home does not have a swimming pool and I resent having to drive there so I can see when my own membership runs out I may well Join greens instead and enjoy it with Geoff :-)

T-Mobile and the Nokia N95

Today was the end of my 18 month mobile phone contract.

Many weeks ago I decided that I was going to upgrade to the Nokia N95 but I wondered when I would find time to make that upgrade.

I need not have worried because T-mobile phoned me this afternoon to see if I would like an upgrade.image

We sorted it all out in about 10 min’s.

Nokia N95 free

200 min’s free

200 text free

and the Internet on walk and web all for £22 a month which is  £5 less than what I pay now.

I just hope I like the Nokia phone as much as I like the Sony Ericson phone.

Relaxing home massage’s in Kings Lynn

This week has been the best week so far for my Swedish body massage business.

My aim has always been to try and get five bookings a month.

This week I am delighted to have achieved my goal by having six bookings in one week.

I visited three clients in their own homes near Kings Lynn, taking my portable massage table and  relaxing music with me.

The other three clients came to my home for their massage.

The hard thing is getting clients to re-book on the night, most come back ,but not till they are ready.

All my clients have found me through my Swedish massage page on my web site.

Great new cards I have for my Swedish body massage business  BUT they got home phone number wrong its 01553 not 01556

October madness..

Sunday was the annual trip to Dunwich beach with the Jesus green outdoor swimming people.

As Geoff is home early from his walking trip we were able to go.

We left Cambridge as the sun was breaking through with the  promise of a warm day and  arrived in Dunwich in cloud and mist with the temperature barley above 12 deg.

We then joined 20 other people for a swim in the sea… passers by looked at us all in amazement.

As I am scared of this sea it was a great achievement for me to stay in and swim around  for 20 min’s.

Then it was out and off for fish and chips to warm up.

The mad thing was we did a 160 mile round trip and did not go for a walk on Dunwich heath  :-(

Shocking….

Shocking pink is the colour of the DAB radio that my boys got me as a birthday present.

I have wanted one of these for months as I can not get a decent radio reception on my other radios.

Now I can listen to radio 2 and radio 4 as its just brilliant, well worth waiting for.

Why did I choose that colour….. well I thought it would stop my boys from borrowing it :-)

My Passport….

When you walk any of the Camino long distance walks in Spain you need a passport.

Its known as The Credencial del Peregrino.

The Credencial del Peregrino,  is a sort of pilgrim passport that is stamped along the way and serves as proof at Santiago that you have indeed followed the pilgrim route and deserve a Compostela.

The Compostela is the certificate awarded at the end of the journey.

The passport  is also required if one intends to stay at any of the refuges along the camino .

Alas mine only has 6 stamps……. so no Compostela for me just yet :-)
