Took myself off to Icklingham in Suffolk today, for a 16 mile walk with the legstrecher group, starting time was 9am and I only just made it by the skin of my teeth
The legstrecher group is a step up from your normal Rambler group but not quite as long or fast as the LDWA walks.
After having a poor turn out for a few months this group is now becoming quite popular with 13 walkers turning out today.
It was a good walk , taking in open fields, woodland, and with a stretch along the river too. we went past the Anglo Saxon village at West Stow County Park  before returning to the car park.
The weather was very kind to us and although a little windy at times on the whole it stayed sunny and bright, you might say a perfect walking day.
it was great to catch up with everyone again, and thanks to Dave who did a great job of leading the walk.
The information from my pedometer was…..
16.3 mile
33,928Â steps
1819 cals
Did you sink into the mud? It looks really wet.
Sounds like a good walk – Stan and I had a great walk around Zumicon in Switzerland
