After arriving in Sheringham in the pouring rain, we woke to a damp but sunny day on the Saturday.
Not many people were about on the Friday evening, with everyone arriving at different times but we had managed to find out about the walks available.
Ellee decided to join me on the longer walk, so off we set at around 9am with 16 other people, for an 18 mile walk.
This is where I know I am getting addicted to walking because I so wish I had a map so I could have followed the route and know just where I walked, usually I am just happy to follow along and chat. Maybe I need a GPS…maybe I am becoming too much of a geek…
Our walk took us by pretty corner toward Baconsthorpe, where there are remains of a fabulous castle. Then we went towards Bodham and along to Kelling. Where we had afternoon tea in a lovely tea shop ,that had fabulous home made cakes, but no Muffins !! We then headed towards Kelling heath and the coast. Following the coastal path back into Sheringham was a great way to end the walk.
I chatted to everyone on the way, Rob, Alan and Tyrone had many interesting stories, In fact Alan had recently walked the Appalachian Trail and did many of the LDWA challenge walks. Which I find very interesting.
The information from my pedometer was…
18.8 mile
39.033 steps
2,027 cal
Sally, I only had one blister from the whole weekend and no aches and pains. It was a great weekend, your flickr pics look great too.
Sorry, I did not pick up your charger, hope they can send it on.
