Well done Sally – you don’t know us, but we walk the GR20 a couple of days behind you and news of your progress travelled in the opposite direction! I had seen your website before leaving and slightly scared someone by saying ‘ooh was it sally in norfolk?’ to a girl in Vizzavona who mentioned meeting someone who had received a posting from Paddy. You’re famous, you see!

The winds were terrifying weren’t they?? Luckily we were on the relatively low level stages of 9, 10 and 11 when they hit. I wouldn’t have liked to be up on a ridge.

Ed – we too found the South section tough. We doubled up 10 and 11 and then had those two long stage on the next couple of days. It was a bit of a battle to keep going on tired legs!! And the Lasagne at l’onda was possibly the best I have ever had?!? What an evening – I can’t believe he puts on such a feast on every evening!

Such a brilliant feeling to finish the GR20 – what an adventure!

Well I did not see you after all….although we must have passed each other somewhere.

Great walk – I found the South harder than the North though – but then I like rock!

And as for the lasagne at the refuge de l’onda 🙂

Well done Sally and Geoff. I am just back from 5 days walking in the Dolomites, which I thought was tough – but a picnic compared to what you have achieved.

Looking forward to hearing all about it soon.

Sally, I am thrilled for you and Geoff and in awe at the pics you posted. What fun, what a challenge, will you still be able to stand when you return home. I can’t wait to see you and hear all about it. Love to you both. 🙂
