As my boys didn’t get to sample Emily’s Birthday cake, I thought I had better make them one 
For anyone that may be interested its a coffee cake with a coffee and mascarpone cheese filling and topping.

How lovely of Matthew to be so appreciative, I bet it’s all gone now.
My favourite is a lemon cake when you have time! It looks wonderful.
