During the last year it has some times been hard to get my son to go to school on time.
He always went but often turned up half an hour late.
Now normal school has finished for him and its just a matter of taking his exams.
His school provides a free cooked breakfast during exam time.
So now he is up at 6am on the bus at 7.15 just to get a cooked breakfast and this is even done on days he does not have to attend school at all.
Maybe this should be noted as a way to deal with Truancy.
Good news for him … he has just been offered a place on the brick laying course, one less thing for me to worry about.
My other son is still looking for a job 🙁

What a great incentive. I bet truancy rates have plummeted!
Good news about the brick-laying course. I hope your other son finds a job too. My Younger son has been accepted on a part-time course but needs a job too – and that is the difficult bit! It’s so hard for them, isn’t it?
Congrats to him for getting in on the bricklaying course. An honourable profession and one he’ll be able to live well on.
There’s nothing better in the morning than a free fry-up!
That is an excellent idea…your right sally I am sure many would get up just like Matthew. Oh I hope Andrew finds something soon, especially as Matthew as been offered a place for the brick laying course…is the Army still an option??
Well done to Matthew for getting up at 6am…not sure I would do it if I didn’t have to go to school though 🙂
I am sure it will all work out Ok in the end 🙂
