Why do people collect things…

Most people collect and display something in their lives.

It might be a collection of family snaps stuck into an album, or holiday souvenirs arranged on a mantelpiece, assembled and displayed without any thought of being a "collector".

Other people form collections for a specific purpose: old masters for investment or memories "collected" on tape to preserve a changing way of life….

Over the years I have collected many things including 16 years worth of first day cover stamps.

BUT tell me, why did I collect and keep all the baby teeth from my two boys……

All to be found in this beautiful trinket box….

Do you have any strange collections ? ? ?

My mom actually saved all my brother’s and my teeth. I found them in a box I made her for mother’s day… it was how I figured out that the tooth fairy wasn’t real ๐Ÿ˜‰

OMG, I also have my 3 childrens teeth! To be honest I’m not sure where they are but now you have reminded me I’m going to look for them..

Just hope I actually do still have them..

I used to collect things but then I got married and such foibles were no longer tolerated. The only thing I’m allowed to collect now is music because we can both enjoy it, and I do have a lot of CDs.

The solution to our future has turned out to be … iTunes. All the music I need without the shelf-space requirement.
