The best kind of walk

The weather was not nice when we woke this morning so I was quite glad not to be skiing today.

The plan was to go snow shoe walking, something I really enjoy.

Finally once the weather had cleared, Thierry lent us some snow shoes and we were on our way.

Due to the late start we only managed 5.4 miles but how I enjoyed it πŸ™‚

On the way down we called into see Gail so I could say my goodbyes. πŸ™

She gave me some typical french love hearts, that she had made herself and will look fab hanging in my house.

needless to say I will be sad to leave Les Gets and Geoff tomorrow.

I love the French love hearts – they would look so much better in my mud hut I have to admit.

Any holiday worth having are the ones you regret leaving. It says a lot for your holiday and the friends you left behind in Europe.

Yes, it has seemed to have gone very quickly from back here. You’ve had a fab time though and you can go back again next year or before that maybe?

Did you try the big feet at all? I love those. Such fun. Can’t think what their proper name is. Blades – that’s it. Little skis anyway.

Oh and you can get back to running when you return. The snow and ice has all gone. I went out for the first time last night and it was fab – did 3.5 miles no probs at all. I think all my snow marching kept me fit. So I’ll bet you’ll run a marathon!
