Trekking in Turkey

Finally we have decided on a plan for our little adventure in October.

On October 1st we are flying to Dalaman in Turkey, then we fly home from Istanbul on 30th October.

In between these dates we hope to walk and travel along all of the Lycian way, Turkey’s first long distance footpath 🙂

The Lycian way is 319 miles so its going to be some walk, with lots of swimming thrown in too 🙂

According to the Sunday Times the Lycian
Way is one of the ten most beautiful long distance hikes of the world.

I just hope I am going to be fit enough !!

Wow, that’s fab although it does sound a VERY long way. I love Turkey too. The people are wonderful and the scenery is beautiful. That’s where I did that paragliding thing. So excited for you xx

yep bit worried it will be too long for me… especially as I am not quite so fit at the min due to all the extra work i have been doing 🙁 BUT i will enjoy every min as long as Geoff don’t rush off and leave me behind lol x

We had a wonderful holiday up in the Kaya valley Sally, breathtakingly beautiful. Although I couldn’t walk the Lycian way, we did stay in some quirky lovely hotels there. I can count 12 holidays off the beaten track, over the years, in Turkey, I have a great love of Francr, but, in my heart, Turkey is my favourite place on God’s earth..
