Getting fitter !

After years of running walking and exercising I thought I was quite fit,but felt I had become “stuck in a rut” doing the same things over and over again

DSCF7741So I decided to join the ladybirds running club, and started going to parkrun.

Then I had a great opportunity to take up Road Biking and amazingly my fitness has just improved in leaps and bounds.

Yesterday was my 10th parkrun and I managed a P/B of 27.45 something I never thought I could achieve then today I came home from my 50 mile bike ride with SWNC and for the first time didn’t want to lie on the kitchen floor and die 🙂

But best of all its great to have met a new circle of like minded friends who encourage me every step of the way  !

An Extra Shift…

I have just done my last Monday evening over time shift for Mr T

As from next Monday it will become a permanent contracted shift, 6pm to mid-night.

Having never worked such a late shift its going to be interesting, I often wonder who shops so late at night and now I am about to find out.

Must say I am rather pleased about this extra shift especially as It wont interfere with anything else I do 🙂

I just hope I like it !!

Audio Book Number 3

I have just finished my 3rd audio book and I am becoming quite addicted to them, not only do i Screenshot 02:11:2013 21:15-8listen to them while out walking but I have discovered a Juice bluetooth Sound Square at home which is perfect for listening to my books on.

Its great for when I am on my cross trainer too and I shall put one on my xmas list !!

Anyway the book was another Sophie Kinsella, called “Remember Me“, romantic rubbish but easy to listen too and so funny in places….

Still wanting to join Audible so I can listen to newer books, like “mad about the boy” another book that I would never actually read but strange enough think I would enjoy listening too 🙂

Audible will have to wait though as I have a poorly boiler and a poorly Macbook , so its off to choose another free book from OneClickDigital

Catching up with CRC

Walking in the rain

As I was in Cambridge this weekend to collect my bike I thought it would be good to catch up and walk with CRC, especially as I had not walked with them since 28th July.

It was a 14 mile walk from Stow Cum Quy and when we arrived at the start the rain was so hard we stayed in the car waiting for it to pass over, after 10 mins it had turned to a drizzle so we set off on our way.

Its lovely walking at this time of year with all the Autumn colours so I really enjoyed the walk, just a shame that the last few miles was walked in torrential rain and I arrived home looking like a drowned rat !!

A few photo’s can be seen here

Souvenirs from Hungary

I just cannot stop collecting fridge magnets

It started because they are small and light, making them perfect souvenirs for when we are walking and I have to carry everything.

Now I am addicted to collecting them from every place I visit with Geoff.

As you can imagine after almost 7 years my fridge is getting rather full and I have some lovely memories 🙂

Sally In Norfolk

Sally Relaxing !

After the most fantastic holiday in and around Budapest with Geoff, I am now back in Norfolk, while Geoff carries on with his bike ride along the Danube bike trail.

Usually our holidays are long distance walks, which some would say is not a holiday at all, but this holiday was totally different.

We did some walking, some sightseeing, some biking, and lots of relaxing with Spa pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, thermal lakes and turkish baths.

I even went for 3 runs by Lake Balaton 🙂

In one word it was… Heaven !!

Now its back to my beloved bike, Ladybirds,  Parkrun  and Massage clientsÂ
