Gifts from Nepal and India

Two beautiful yak shawls from Kathmandu, the orangey one is made from baby yak wool so is a little softer and more delicate 🙂

Both are beautiful and will keep me very very warm

When Geoff visited Khajuraho in India, i did like the Erotic sculptures found in the temples

So in my Christmas box I found a nice Erotic sculpture, which Geoff had lugged all the way around India, just for me 🙂

A practical Gift

I now have a real Home Electricity Monitor.

This will allow me to track and graph my electricity use wherever I
can access the internet – even on my mobile phone using the Google
Power Meter App!

Not sure if this is a good thing as I may just end up worrying more about how much my bills are.

I may never boil the kettle or have my heating on again let alone take a shower 🙁

Although it will be very interesting and I will be able to keep my eye on those boys at the weekend too

Now I just need Geoff to come and set it all up for me 🙂

Season’s Greetings

Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and Lots of Love and Happiness for the New Year !!

I took this photo in Les Gets and I hoped to make it into a Christmas card but it never happened 🙁

So here it is for all my lovely blogging friends, with out you all, my life would be so much harder.

Thanks for just “being” there !!

Cake toppers

As I have tried out a new recipe for the Christmas cake this year.

For a change baked a square cake instead of a round one 🙂

I thought we should have a new Christmas cake topper this year too.

So found this in Lakeland

Now I just need to find time to Ice the cake next week 🙂

Another challange !

At this time of year, like most people , I struggle with my weight.

So this year I have set myself a challenge

“not to gain any weight over the Christmas period”

It put me in the right frame of mind and this week I actually lost 2lb :-)

Ticking over

During the winter months when it’s hard to get out for a run I tend to use the gym more.

I usually use the cross trainer but have been drawn to the running machine these past few visits .

I find it’s much harder to run on a machine than outside in the lovely countryside.

But I am beginning to enjoy it and see it as a challenge.

Tonight was the hardest run yet with lots of hills thrown in and once I go up a level I never go back down 🙂

If I keep it up, by spring I could be whizzing round my usual running routes.
