A day in London

Last week we had a day in London the weather was very disappointing and so was Liberty’s.

We went for Sushi at Lunch time, I should have tried the raw fish but needed meat 🙂

So duck and chicken were my choices along with the soya peas, and they were all delicious.

Next it was the National Gallery, where Geoff treated me to my own piece of Vincent Van Gogh 🙂

Then it was Stanford’s the Map and travel book shop.

A book was bought, hopefully for our next little adventure later in the year

Together at Easter

If things had gone to plan I would have spent Easter alone again this year.

The delayed house move changed all of our plans.

So today I cooked dinner for 6 and a splendid day was had by all.

Now I feel bloated with all the over eating and look forward to tomorrows bike ride.

Hope you have all had a Happy Easter too 🙂

A weekend away

After a week of running, spinning, swimming, cleaning, cooking and baking.

We needed a rest 🙂

So we escaped to Nottingham for the weekend to stay with Steve and Ren

Geoff had planned a lovely little walk for me, which I was so looking forward too.

Ren decided she would like to come with us too 🙂

So on Sunday we headed off to Clumber park.

Where we did a circular 19 mile walk taking us through the Welbeck estate and Creswell Crags.

It was a glorious day and we also managed to meet up with Geoff’s brother and sister in law, who walked round Creswell Crags with us.

Ren who is not a regular walker did so well to walk 19 miles with out one moan or blister 🙂

As for Steve well he has been setting me a few challenges on the wi-fit and all I can say to him is watch out when I get home 🙂

Third time lucky

Some time ago, well 36 days ago to be precise, Micheal and Laura recommended a great looking tea shop in Nottingham.

Since then I have been desperate to go and try it out.

On the first attempt it took us too long to find and was closed.

Second attempt the queue was far too long.

Third attempt there was still a small queue but I persuaded Geoff to wait.

Pleased to say I was not disappointed, My Assam tea was perfect, served in beautiful china cups and tea pot.

Far to many delicious cakes to choose from but I went for the battenburg and was not disappointed.

It was a real treat and The Walk cafe is a  must place to visit if your ever in Nottingham.

Spinning

Many many years ago in another life.

I went to Spinning classes twice a week.

Then life moves on and things change.

Recently I was treated to a membership to Greens health and fitness club

I noticed they do spinning classes and have just been waiting for the chance to try one out.

That opportunity came today.

The bikes have improved and it was done in the dark with disco lights.

The music was great and it was as fast and fun as I remembered.

The good news is they do a class on a Saturday morning too 🙂

An essential buy

If your a Lady jogger apart from your shoes the next most important bit of gear is….

A very good sports bra.

I knew I needed a new one but kept putting off buying one.

The last thing I want is sagging breasts

So finally at the weekend I decided I had to get one.

I was shocked at the price …£32 and would much rather have spent the money on a nice pink sexy girlie one 🙂

But I know the importance of having a good jogging bra.
