A double booking..

Tonight I did a home massage just outside Kings Lynn for a professional couple.grantchester walk 013

They also booked another one in four weeks time .

My relaxing massage music worked well from my phone with its speakers.

Just waiting for my new advertising Post Cards.

At last it feels like its all starting to come together……

Week two..

We have now covered 12 out of the 60 strokes that make up the Indian head massage routine.

You apply far more pressure on these strokes than you do in the body massage, so it will be good for someone who likes a firmer deeper massage.

There are many reasons why you should have an Indian head massage, listed below are just a few of the things it can help with…

Headaches

Migraine (though a head massage should never be given while suffering from migraine)

Eyestrain

Neck pain                             head

Jaw ache

Toothache

Sinusitis

Poor hair condition

Insomnia

Stress.

I have my first lot of homework that involves making a client information leaflet and I now have my Indian head massage book by Helen Mcguinness.

So all is going well 🙂

A walk, a swim and a party….

We managed to fit all these things into our Sunday.

It started off with a 15 mile walk from Grantchester with the Cambridge Rambling grantchester walk 007club.

It was a perfect sunny day and you could be forgiven for thinking it was the middle of summer.

We did a circular walk via Toft taking in some beautiful countryside, the blackberries were in abundance but I resisted the urge to collect more.

On returning to Grantchester, Vera the walk leader provide us with a wonderful spread of home made scones ,raspberry and apple pie and a wicked chocolate cake too.

After saying our goodbyes we walked back into Cambridge via Grantchester meadows making our walking mileage 20 miles for the day.grantchester walk 011

The walking route and more photos can be seen here

We then made our way to the Jesus Green outdoor pool, where it was the last swim of the season.

Geoff has swam here 56 times through the season but much to my disappointment I have not swam so much this year.

This weekend though I did get a  swim Saturday and Sunday, the water was very cold but refreshing too :-)

Then it was a dash home to put our posh clothes on and head out to Anstey Hall to join Paul and Kate, to celebrate their wedding.

A truly wonderful day 🙂

Two weeks early…

Next Wednesday 17th of September, two weeks earlier than expected my new Renault Extreme car will be ready for collection.

At the time of ordering it I had got myself into a tizzy about the whole thing, so i was not excited about it at all.vnmcfg1CL31TERNA

BUT now I am sssooo excited 🙂

I have to return some paper work to the garage on Monday where i can have a sneak look before i collect it.

Now I just have to find some insurance that my son can afford  ( when he passes his test.) for my old Renault Clio 1.2.

Some one quoted me over 3,000 pound earlier today 🙁

So if you have any tips on insuring young boys (20) just passed test they would be most helpful.

Week one…

Great start to my Indian Head massage course .indian-head-003_sm

I did need books and stuff but nothing that I cannot sort out soon.

Luckily my uniform from last year is the same needed for this year.

First impressions….  18 weeks of heaven having someone massage my head neck shoulders arms and face 🙂

Over 60 strokes to learn for the whole of the Indian head massage routine.

More paper work , which I hate :-(  but my confidence is growing in this area.

4 of the 60 strokes learnt already and Geoff has had his first taste of what’s to come

More than just a walk…

Today I collected Geoff off the 9.30 train from Cambridge.shack

As the weather was nice it was time to go and stretch our legs along the Norfolk coast.

We parked at "The Shack" which belongs to one of Geoff’s friends and is in Snettisham.

Our plan was to walk to Hunstanton and back, aprox 10 miles.

On the way we saw some lovely looking Blackberries.

I just had to buy a tub in Hunstanton so we could pick them on the way back.

Amazingly we collected almost 7lb of gorgeous blackberries.

jam 017

Once I have made Emily a blackberry and apple crumble I am not sure what I shall do with the rest.

Think they will end up in the freezer till I get some more apples from cloudgazer.

Then more jam 🙂

Disappointing….

I start my Indian Head massage course tomorrow at the College of West Anglia in Kings Lynn.

The course was paid for weeks ago and the Cheque cleared on 27th August.

At this moment in time I have had no conformation, or information about this course.

I have phoned student support on several occasions, they transfer my call to the beauty department but no one answers the phone.

Its only because I did my massage course last year that I will know where to go tomorrow but I feel totally unprepared.

Last year we were instructed on what uniform to buy, what books to buy and what stationary equipment we would need.

I hope this is not a sign of things to come……
